I searched hard to find a 1984 NIV bible and was blessed to succeed. The study aides are great and its very easy to navigate through!!

I have recently become aware of the huge differences between the NIV 1984 and the newest version NIV, revised in 2011. I went back to this version and am quite satisfied. 2Cor5:17 good example of how the life is sucked out in the new version.

It is easy to read and understand, especially the NIV.

I have to admit, I am a Bible version snob. I was so frustrated when all I could find was the updated NIV. Its great to have a digital copy of my beloved favorite. Additionally, the reading plans add something extra.

I really like the main navigation scheme for moving between books of the Bible, but I wish the method of flipping between chapters in a book was changed somehow, it does not play completely well with multitouch gestures in iOS 6. Also selecting pieces of text to copy (not a whole verse) is almost impossible, again because of the swiping mechanism for moving between chapters. I wish accessing my reading history was a quick button at the top of the screen, instead of delving through the current pathway to get there. Ive mentioned this in other reviews, but Id like to see some reference material added (maps, commentary) and would pay for the additional content, depending on how comprehensive it was. I love the daily Bible studies that have been added! For the money, I think this is the best Bible app out there; its only because I use it frequently that I see ways I think it could be made more useful.

The 1984 translation is the best and most reliable of the NIV family.

Im glad that there is still at least one iPad/iPhone app that allows you to get NIV84. I dislike the new NIV version.

Thanks for allowing us to have digital access to NIV 84. I do not like the new NIV translation.

I am happy to have my 1984 niv back. I am hoping the developer will enhance features like the adding of columns. This is found in other versions. Also search feature is not working properly. This would give it 5 stars. If you are looking for an niv that does not change Gods word to fit the times this is it.

I was so frustrated and amazed when I went to buy a new bible a few years ago for my sons to memorize verses with me now that they are old enough. I couldnt find the NIV 1984 version that I had memorized anywhere! Ugggghhh.. Now, at least, I can get to it electronically. THANK YOU!!!!

I love this version. Sometimes it is best to leave the Word alone.

Good functionality, reasonable version pricing. Annoying surprise when I couldnt use offline since I hadnt paid for the downloads
